“
You need good grapes to make good wine
”
Time of wine
and vines
Our estate is now one of the smallest in the appellation.
We keep it that way by choice.
From the vine to the wine, this allows us to control every step, planting the vines, tending the vineyards,
harvesting the grapes and bottling the wine.
The winegrowing profession is undergoing radical change,
but we remain firmly committed to the quality of our products.
We are fully conscious of this, and regularly update our techniques and practices, drawing on our own know-how
and that of our peers, as well as on technical advances
and new developments in our field.
Our aim: find the best balance between manual
and mechanical work for optimum care of the vineyard,
from the grapes to our wines.
We have been, and still are, very active in developing our equipment and adapting it to our vineyards and our estate.
This is the richness and complexity of our winegrowing profession:
-
The time spent in the vineyards working the soil
and looking after the vines, so that each grape can express
its full potential and aromas...
-
the great harvest period...
-
but also the hours spent in the cellar and the winery...
-
the daily choices and questions...
-
adapting to climate change...

A family
story
Our estate has been a family story for several generations, one of the oldest in Cerdon, with a strong attachment to the village and the soil.
The first references to winegrowing activities can be traced back to 1783 in our personal archives, when Jean Claude Dubreuil and his son Joseph were the first owners of our winery in Cerdon.
The estate has been handed down from father to son ever since, often with phases of joint work so that the younger generation can benefit from the experience of their peers and the property can be passed on in optimum conditions.
At every period, our family has introduced technical innovations to optimise our work and improve the quality of our wines, while respecting the soil.
Each generation has been determined to pass on to the next the soil and the passion for the winemaking profession, with the essential values of hard work and quality, as well as a strong attachment to the appellation.
Today, this wonderful family story continues. Guy and Muriel have gradually given way to Pierre, who continues to run the vineyards on the slopes of the village of Cerdon and Leymiat, perpetuating the traditional family values.
